Extend the life of your candle by following the tips below. You should not experience any excessive soot/black smoke, dangerously high flames or extremely hot jar temperatures when used as suggested.
For the best experience
- Trim wick to 1/4" before every burn. This keeps the wax tidy and eliminates excess soot/black smoke.
- Do not burn more than 4-5 hours at a time. Wait about 2+ hours before relighting.
- To prevent tunneling (when only the center of the candle burns down, leaving thick walls around the sides), allow for a continuous 2+ hour long burn for the melted wax to soften the edges.
- Keep out of reach of children, pets and flammable objects.
- Burn only on heat-resistant surfaces away from drafts
- Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains at the bottom, or the metal wick clip is exposed. If you continue to burn the candle too low, you will risk directly heating the glass, causing it to shatter/crack.
Soy wax is a natural vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. It is eco-friendly, renewable and burns much cleaner and slower than your average store-bought candle. Many people (including our Founder) have noted they no longer experience headaches when burning natural wax candles as opposed to ones heavy in paraffin. Soy wax also allows for a deeper, richer, truer scent profile so you can fully immerse yourself in the fragrance.
